Q: Do I need to buy a licensed copy of MS Office to use a BZeroTech database?
A: No. If you don’t have MS Access installed we will provide you free of charge with the software that will allow you to use ANY Access database (not just ours).

Q: Can I use a BZeroTech database on a local area network (LAN)?
A: Yes, Access allows for up to 255 concurrent users. For network use we supply customers with a "split" database to increase network performance. A "split" database consists of a front-end (user-end) and back-end (data-end).

Q: Is it expensive to have one of BZeroTech's ready-made databases customized?
A: No. That is one of the advantages of an Access database. It allows us to quickly and cheaply modify the database to suit your needs.

Q: Am I allowed to resell one of your databases?
A: Yes and No. You can only resell one of databases if you purchase the right to do so from us. The majority of our databases are intended to be used by a business as opposed to being sold by a business.

Q: How many records can I store in an Access database?
A: The maximum size of an Access database is 2 gigabytes. Some of our databases contain millions of records and haven't even exceeded 40 megabytes in size.

Q: What is the maximum number of pages I can print in an Access report?
A: Access reports can contain a maximum of 65,536 pages.

Q: Can I export Access data to Excel or create a mailmerge with Word?
A: Yes in both cases. Access interacts seamlessly with other Office products.

A: Yes. Using Office automation Access can not only send emails, but add reminders, tasks and journal entries as well.

Q: What screen resolution are the BZeroTech databases designed for?
A: All our ready-made and made for resale databases are designed for a screen resolution of 800x600 pixels. This is the standard resolution eventhough your own PC may be set as high as 1,600x1,200 pixels.

Q: Do I really need a database?
A: If you are doing repetitive or complex tasks using spreadsheets, word processors or even pieces of paper the answer is most likely "Yes". The number 1 advantage of using a database is that it eliminates any duplication of work.

Q: How much does it cost to develop a custom database to suit my exact needs?
A: The costs for development of a basic custom database ranges from $200 to $500. The average cost is around the $300 mark.
